You may be aware that there is a battle going on within the Pet Food industry. Thanks to the web and social media, savvy consumers have access to industry information that in the past would have been exclusive to manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Companies being acquired, and bought out is nothing new. There is a lot of action on that front as big companies see the profits being made in the Pet retail sector and they want a piece of the action. The grocery stores and big boxes carry pet brands that are 99% owned by large conglomerates; Mars, Proctor and Gamble, Colgate -Palmolive, Nestle-Purina. The interest is in profits, not pet health. Best not to rely on them for unbiased information.
The current fight is in regards to Raw food diets for pets.
